Karl Ribas to Edit Social Marketing Book

Oglesby, IL., February 10, 2011 -- Karl Ribas, website design and marketing professional located here within the Illinois Valley, has agreed to a consulting role with Que Publishing, a subsidiary of leading education company Pearson.

"Earlier this month, a representative with Pearson Education had contacted me with regards to a social marketing book they were publishing. I was asked if I'd be interested in joining their project", says Ribas. "After some quick consideration, I accepted their proposal and signed on as the book's technical editor."

Que Publishing, a publishing imprint of Pearson, is a leader within the technical publishing space and provides tools needed to enhance one's personal and professional life. Their main areas of focus include such areas as business management, computer software, Internet and web apps, operating systems, and web design and development.

The book is titled "Zero to 100,000: Social Media Tips and Tricks for Small Businesses" and is co-authored by social media marketing specialists Sarah-Jayne Gratton and Dean Anthony Gratton. Zero to 100,000 is proclaimed to be the first practical social media guide specifically designed for small businesses who want fast results without complexity or high cost. The book promises to be an easy how-to reference for all aspects of social media, and will feature case studies, tips, tricks, user tools, and hard-won secrets. Ribas will begin his work on this project starting immediately and is expected to finish in June of this year. The book is expected to be released for sale this coming fall.

"As technical editor, Mr. Ribas will be responsible for ensuring the technical accuracy of the book", says Romny French, Editorial Assistant at Pearson Education. "We've chosen Karl for his technical expertise in social media marketing and we greatly value his opinions."

While this is Ribas' first official role as technical editor, he once assisted in the advanced review of Rob Snell's "Starting a Yahoo! Business for Dummies" book published by For Dummies in March of 2006. Ribas' assignment was to review four chapters pertaining to search engine marketing for technical accuracy.

"I am very pleased and excited for this opportunity to not only work with Pearson and Que Publishing, but to also play a part on a project such as this", says Ribas. I'm looking forward to working with the book's authors to create a valuable resource for the social marketing community."
